Anders Lindegaard put his recent Twitter dispute with Wayne Rooney to one side by treating his wife to an early Christmas dinner at the weekend.

The West Brom goalkeeper was seen in an Instagram post from wife Misse Beqiri at a restaurant which was uploaded on Sunday, 24 hours after Lindegaard's side drew 1-1 with Tottenham in the Premier League.

'Last night #Christmasdinner #Birmingham,' Beqiri wrote next to the image.

Last week, the West Brom No 2 was caught up in a minor Twitter dispute with Wayne Rooney, after the Manchester United captain held a Q&A on the social media website.

Rooney was asked who he would least like to be stuck in a lift with and he chose his former Old Trafford team-mate because 'he's just annoying.'

Lindegaard responded my posting a tweet with a picture of Rooney leant over in front of him, which included the caption ''#happytoseeyoustillgots***banter.'

Danish goalkeeper Lindegaard, who joined West Brom from United this summer, will not receive a charge by the FA for the tweet.
