And it seems a pouty selfie is all it takes after Justin Bieber demanded to know the identity of a mystery girl he spotted on Instagram on Monday.

The singer uploaded an image of the unknown beauty, who bears a striking resemblance to Russian clotheshorse Irina Shayk, then pleaded with his fans to help him track her down.

He captioned the image: 'OMG who is this!' and was duly inundated by messages from female fans claiming to be the young lady, although sadly for the 21-year-old they were telling tales.

Fans soon flocked to Twitter to tell him it was supposedly a girl called Cindy Kimberly, who has a habit of posting selfies on her Instagram page.

It is unclear where she is from but her Instagram profile reads: 'My name is Cindy and I get too excited about fictional related stuff.'

She is obviously a Justin Bieber fan as just days ago she posted a brief video to the site showing her listening to the opening seconds of the singer's hit 'No Sense'.

In one of her pictures an excited fan said, 'IT'S THE JB GIRL.'

And as well as posting a number of selfies, she has also put up several drawings of herself, some of them created by her 108,000 followers.

The image Justin posted was certainly popular, attracting more than 700,000 likes within the space of a few hours.

One fan wrote: 'The girl Justin posted a picture of is actually stunning like OMG.'

Meanwhile their hero was wrapped up warm as he disembarked from his plane after jetting back to his native Canada on Monday just hours after thrilling fans by going topless at a blockbuster gig in London.

But the self-styled heartthrob was celebrating more than just his confetti-filled extravaganza at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball, as he also took to social media to boast about being nominated for a Grammy.

The 21-year-old teen idol had dressed for the chilly Toronto climate in a beanie hat, hooded top and trainers, while he was also still wearing his pyjama bottoms as he stepped onto the stairs.

And he gave his fans a bonus thrill by posting an image of himself gurning as he stood next to dance music stars Diplo and Skrillex, whom he has just been nominated for a best dance recording prize for Where Are U Now.

He said: 'Up for a Grammy with these guys thanks to everyone who has been a part of this amazing musical transition.'

While he will always be known as the Baby hitmaker to his true fans, everyone is no doubt wishing him well, especially as his shock loss to Esperanza Spalding in the best new artist category back in 2011.

Meanwhile Justin is fresh from thrilling his fans at a gig in England's capital on Sunday.

The slender star's pumped pectorals glistened in the spotlight as he flexed his tattooed pipe-cleaner arms for his rabid supporters during an energetic rendition of Sorry.

And his set really climaxed when he danced topless while confetti rained from the skies near the end of the song.

Justin will be on stage again on Monday night, albeit in a more restrained mode, when he performs an acoustic set at a $100-per-head gig in aid of aid of Stratford's House of Blessing.

His mother used the centre's services when he was a child growing up in the area.
