Busting out for Busta Rhymes! Mariah Carey wears corset and skintight leather trousers to perform at rapper's Hot For The Holidays concert

She was eager to show off her figure after being hospitalised earlier this week with a severe flu.

But Mariah Carey perhaps took her mission too far as she made her way to take the stage for Busta Rhymes & Friends: Hot for the Holidays concert on Saturday.

The 46-year-old songstress headed out for the New Jersey performance in unforgiving skintight black leather trousers and a cleavage-baring corset.

Mariah's daring top certainly showed off all her best assets - and she risked spilling out of it as she left her hotel.

She paired her look with a furry black shawl which was adorned with a beaded trim and accessorized with a simple diamond bracelet.

The All I Want for Christmas singer kept up her diva appearances and stay concealed beneath over-sized movie star shades, despite the fact it was night time.

Her wavy, blonde locks fell effortlessly past her shoulders, which she swept to one side to highlight her natural beauty.

Before stepping out she shared a photo on social media in one of her bathrooms which was stuffed full of Hello Kitty collectibles and stuffed animals.

'Busta I am on my way! #LiveFromTheHelloKittyBathroom @conglomerateent,' the Grammy winner wrote amidst the pink cartoon character filled bathroom.

Other performers at the star-studded holiday concert included Puff Daddy, Mary J. Blige, Lil Wayne, Lil Kim, Rick Ross, Method Man and many others.

Despite her flu earlier this week, things are going well for the mother-of-two in her personal life.

Having split from her husband Nick Cannon last year she is enjoying a blossoming romance with James Packer.

She has recently showed off a token of love in the form of an extravagant diamond necklace worth $500K from the Aussie businessman.

Clearly delighted with her Van Cleef and Arpels accessory, the songstress barely took it off while taking part in interviews on American television throughout last week.
