Fox News commentators suspended for calling Obama a 'total p****' and saying he 'could give a s***' while discussing his speech on terrorism

Two Fox News contributors have been suspended for using inappropriate language about President Barack Obama while discussing his speech on terrorism in two separate incidents.

The contributors, former U.S. Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and actress Stacey Dash, were each ordered off the air for two weeks.

The suspensions come after Peters was on air and called Obama a 'total p****' before Dash later appeared in a program saying the president 'could give a s***.'

Bill Shine, senior executive vice president of programming at Fox, said in a statement released to Daily Mail Online that both cases the language 'was completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air.'

'Earlier today, FOX contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air,' Shine said.

'FOX Business Network and FOX News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks.'

Peters was appearing on a Fox Business Network program hosted by Stuart Varney when he was asked his reaction to the president's speech and said he didn't like it. 

His comments were not bleeped out, according to CNN.

'Well, first of all he keeps speaking about "we can't give in to our fears." You know, "don't be afraid,' he said.

'Look, Mr. President we're not afraid we're angry, we're pissed off, we're furious.

'We want you to react, we want you to do something. You're afraid. I mean this guy is such a total p****, it's stunning.'

While responding to what he would have liked to have seen from Obama during his speech, Peters apologized for his use of language

After he finished his response, Varney said that while he could tell Peters was 'super angry,' he should not use such language which Peters responded with 'I'm sorry.'

Varney then followed up again about the profanities he used and asked Peters to either apologize or take back his comments.

'You used some very strong language there about the President of the United States, and I'm the anchor of Varney and Co, and I have to ask you, either you should apologize for that, or take it back,' Varney said.

'I apologize. I apologize,' Peters said.

While responding to what he would have liked to have seen from Obama during his speech, Peters apologized again for his use of language.

'And yes, Stuart, I am angry. I do apologize for giving into my anger, but I'm... I feel like you know the American people understand where I'm coming from on this,' he said.

Dash, who appeared in the movie 'Clueless' and has been a Fox contributor since 2014, said on Fox News Channel's noontime program 'Outnumbered': 'I felt like he [Obama] could give a s***'

'His speech should have had a lot more passion. Where is Winston Churchill when we need him, is all I have to say,' she said

On Monday, Dash tweeted (shown above): 'Consequences. Some of us have to pay them. Gladly'

'My choice of words was incorrect, but my sentiment, I think, is shared by many.'

Dash, who appeared in the movie 'Clueless' and has been a Fox contributor since 2014, said on Fox News Channel's noontime program 'Outnumbered' that Obama's speech was an epic fail.

Her comments were partially bleeped out. 

'It was like when you have to go to a dinner with your parents but you have a party to go to afterwards,' Dash said of the speech.

'That's what it felt like. He was just trying to get through it because he just wanted to go to this event afterwards.'

'I did not feel better. I didn't feel any passion from him, like you said, Andrea,' she continued. 

'I felt like he could give a s***, excuse me, like he could care less. He could care less.

'And here we have 14 people dead. Today is the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, okay? 

'His speech should have had a lot more passion. Where is Winston Churchill when we need him, is all I have to say. 

'We are at war. He should have said that. The fact that he said terrorism, we're all excited that he said terrorism. Big deal. What is that going to do? Nothing.'

On Monday, she tweeted: 'Consequences. Some of us have to pay them. Gladly.'

Fox News Host Howard Kurtz wrote on Twitter on Monday criticizing their comments calling it 'flippin embarrassing.'

He wrote: 'On Fox, Ralph Peters calls Obama a "total p****" and Stacey Dash says he doesn't "give a s***" about terrorism. Fliippin' (sic) embarrassing.'

He wrote that critics can say what they want about Obama's policies but there is no need for 'crude language' on the air

In another tweet he added: 'Critics can say what they want about the president's policies, but no need for such crude language on the air.' 

The use of profanity used by Peters was first flagged by Media Matters, a liberal anti-Fox monitoring organization, CNN reported.
