'Hello from the Dark Side!': Star Wars parody of Adele's chart-topping ballad takes the internet by storm

The internet went wild for Adele comeback single Hello, with dozens of memes and spoof scenes circulating online when it was released in October.

And the latest viral video is a Star Wars version of the power ballad, sung by villainous Darth Vadar and detailing his battle with the Rebel Alliance.

The parody, created by YouTube user RoyishGoodLooks, features a mash-up of moments from the sci-fi films, set to the tune of the chart-topping hit.

Instead of the heartbreak of a failed relationship, the lyrics reflect the Dark Side's evil plans to dominate the galaxy.

'So Hello from the Dark Dide. I must have killed all the Jedi', the male voiceover sings.

'Can't say that I'm sorry, for blowing up Alderaan. We could have ruled the galaxy as father and son.'

As well as ruling the internet, Adele has been doing the rounds in the US promoting her best-selling third album, 25.

The 27-year-old singer confessed she'd 'never been happier' during an appearance on NBC's Today show, citing her four-year-old son Angelo and her partner Simon Konecki as the reason forr her positive attitude.

But being happy isn't necessarily the ideal situation for an artist, with Adele explaining it made it 'impossible' to pen songs for her follow-up to 21, because, 'to be honest, I wasn't sad.'

She credited the love and support of Konecki for helping her to get to 'the other side' of what was holding her back.

Adele went on: 'Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that's so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now, that's what made me write about everything I've ever done, because I've got his love.'
