Precious moment! Ruby Rose shares sweet throwback snap of herself as a baby being cradled by her lookalike mother 

She is known for her model looks, edgy style and tattoos.

But on Friday, actress and DJ Ruby Rose shared a rare snap of herself as a tiny baby shortly after she entered the world.

The 29-year-old - who is originally from Melbourne - is seen being cradled by her lookalike mother Katia and captioned the shot: '#TBT mummmmy.'

In the picture, Ruby sleeps as her mum gazes affectionately at her. 

The star has cherubic features and chubby cheeks, and wears a white gown. 

The Orange Is The New Black actor is currently celebrating the TV show's continued success in Hollywood, with it being recognised in the Golden Globe nominations released this week.

The show is nominated in the Best TV Series, Comedy category and Ruby's co-star Uzo Aduba is up for the best supporting actress in a series, limited-series or TV movie gong. 

It also received nods for the SAG Awards.  

This month, Ruby was also named number one of IMDB's Top 10 Movers and Shakers list for her role as Stella Carlin on OITNB.

Taking to Instagram to share the news with her fans, she called it 'kind of a really really really big deal (sic),' that 'has made my year.'

In part of her post, she also added: 'And please, this is not me tooting my own horn.. 

'It's the opposite, it's just a reminder that dreams can come true and isn't that why we dream in the first place.'
