Their movie Hot Pursuit may not exactly have set the world on fire.

But it did result in a very close friendship between it's two leading ladies, Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara.

And on Friday, Reese was reminiscing about her pal's wedding to Joe Manganiello last month.

The 39-year-old shared an Instagram photo which showed her and Sofia at the reception, flashing huge grins as they pressed their cheeks together.

'When your gorgeous friend marries a gorgeous man at a gorgeous wedding... You get really excited!!!' #FBF #biggggghug,' Reese captioned the shot.

Reese wore a long-sleeved black dress adorned with a colourful floral print, and sported lots of red lipstick and heavy black eyeliner.

The photo shows her wrapping her arms tightly around Sofia's tiny waist, with the Modern Family actress clad in her sexy Zuhair Murad wedding dress.

Reese said back in February that she was helping Sofia to plan her big day, which took place on November 22 in Florida.

'We’ve already talked about the wedding, we have a lot of plans,' she told Extra. 'I gotta help, I’ve gotta be there for my girl! So I’m excited.'

And Sofia joked during an interview with Martha Stewart Weddings that the Walk The Line star had offered to help with the planning, but 'chickened out a little' after realising how many guests there would be.

Reese was among several celebrity guests at the wedding, which also included Joe's Magic Mike co-star Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan, as well as his True Blood co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.

Meanwhile Sofia's Modern Family castmates Julie Bowen Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ty Burell, Ed O'Neill, Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland also attended.
