Things must be getting serious for Cara Delevingne and girlfriend St Vincent. The singer was introduced to the entire Delevingne clan just in time for this festive snap. 

The pair are believed to have been dating for a year and went public with their relationship in February.

The singer – real name Annie Clark – can be seen embracing Cara's father Charles. Also featured are Cara's elder sisters Chloe, seated front row, and Poppy their husbands Edward Grant and James Cook, Cara's nephew Atticus and her newborn niece, 'Happy (crazy) Christmas,' wrote the model on Instagram. 

 

There's nothing like a giant Christmas tree to make a big impression – the trouble is the one at Highclere Castle was 10ft too big. Lady Carnarvon ordered a 20ft specimen but the tree that arrived at the castle where Downton Abbey is filmed topped 30ft. 

After a lot of head-scratching there was only one thing for it – staff hacked off the top to make it the correct size.

'It was all quite tricky,' laughs Lady Carnarvon. 'There is always something that doesn't quite go to plan.' When the tree was finally in place, Lady Carnarvon scaled a ladder to add the baubles and garlands – and doesn't it look splendid!

 

Forget priceless antiques, silk rugs and Old Masters – what takes pride of place in one of the grandest rooms at the 1,000-year-old Alnwick Castle? A table football game, of course.

The Duke of Northumberland showed off his unusual sense of style last week when he invited actress Liz Hurley, pictured above at the table, and supermodel Eva Herzigova to a pre-Christmas break at the historic castle, which featured as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies. 

Although Liz is more used to watching polo, I reckon she takes her table football very seriously.
