Kate Bosworth serves up a style lesson as she works lilac collar coat and black tailored trousers on arrival to LAX

Kate Bosworth induced some fresh wardrobe envy when she was pictured arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday.

The Still Alice actress was the picture of effortless chic as she slipped her slim frame into an all-black outfit which she brightened up with a lilac coat.

Kate, 32, looked every inch the lady as she worked a pair of black wide-leg trousers, a matching high-neck top and the pastel-coloured cover-up.

It was apparent she was keen to keep a low-profile as she refused to remove her oversized sunglasses even when inside the terminal building.

Kate ensured maximum comfort when it came to her choice of footwear but didn't compromise on style by slipping on a pair of black patent leather loafers.

She kept her accessories to a minimum - perhaps as to not distract attention from her statement coat - and carried a clashing leopard mini bag and adorned her ear lobes with delicate pearls.

The Superman Returns star's skin was radiant thanks to a generous application of cosmetic highlighter with a pretty pink lip topping off her look.

Kate seemed in fairly relaxed spirits as she stepped off a flight with a handful of members of her team, although it wasn't clear whether she was staying in LA or boarding a connecting flight.

She had been in the UK, specifically London, filming new BBC war drama SS-GB in which she plays American journalist Barbara Barga.

Think pink in Kate's Burberry coat

After having served on the jury for the H&M Design Award in London, actress and style icon Kate Bosworth was spotted back home at Los Angele’s LAX. After a trans-Atlantic flight the stylish blonde kept it comfy and light, having opted for a pair of Roger Vivier flats, loose velvet MIH trousers and a lilac wool coat from Burberry. How she manages to always look stylish despite her travels is beyond us!

'I am thrilled and honoured to be a part of this incredible team, bringing an iconic novel to the screen,' she said of her latest role.

The upcoming series is based on Len Deighton’s intriguing, alternate history novel of the same name.

Additionally, she has no less than eight films due for release before the end of the year.
