The 30-year-old Sunshine Coast woman was spotted carrying baby Billie Georgina Rose close to her chest and kissing the top of her head as she strolled through sunny Canterbury in Sydney's southwest with a friend on Friday. The barista was one of 18 who were held hostage by a crazed gunman inside the Lindt Cafe in Martin Place in December and was forced to beg for her and her unborn baby's life.

Malaysian police are reportedly investigating an Australian actress who grabbed her young son from her former partner at a restaurant. An Australian family have enlisted the help of a 'Jihadi Hunter' to rescue their son who fled to fight for Islamic State in Syria. Decorated army veteran Dimitri Bontinck was inundated with pleas to help youths after he rescued his own 19-year-old son Jejoen from the clutches of ISIS two years ago. Mr Bontinck has been advising the family from Sydney, who remain unnamed for security reasons, for over a year on how best to negotiate or form a rescue mission for their son.

Academics from three leading Australian universities (Griffith, Swinburne and Monash) have used property sales data from the past 20 years to show that buying a house in Melbourne in May can save you an average of $20,657 while selling up in Sydney in July can give you an extra $23,638.

A man has claimed he was turned away from a popular bar for wearing trainers. Seb Aylmer, 32, claimed he was refused entry to the Bank Hotel in Newtown in Sydney's inner west last month after apparently breaking the bar's dress code for wearing his Nike Air Max sneakers. 'I walked up and showed my ID and the guy said, "sorry, you can't come in, you are wearing Air Max". I thought he was joking, I thought it had to be a prank,' he told The Sunday Telegraph.

Shocking footage of a bully repeatedly punching and kicking a student outside a school in Victoria has been captured on camera. The video, which it is believed was filmed outside a school in Dandenong - about 30 kilometres south-east of Melbourne - starts when two boys are seen standing on the footpath near a fence. In total, the victim is punched four times in the head and kicked three times (left and middle) in the ugly video.

A cat with a mean right hook has given a stuffed tiger toy a serious pounding in a hilarious video. Footage shows the ruthless animal rising onto it's back legs and hissing before repeatedly punching the toy square in the eye. Uploaded to Youtube on Saturday, the minute-long clip has accumulated more than 8000 views, with viewers labelling the furious feline as 'Cat-sius Clay' and 'a boxing champion.'

During a bender that lasted from July to October this year, Ms Jones took crystal methamphetamine as often as every two hours and stayed away for days at a time, getting violent and abusive to all those around her. Now, Ms Jones is clean and is turning her life around, studying to become a hairdresser and restoring her relationships with her family. Anna Wyatt (left), who weighed less than six stone at the time, was standing at a checkout when she received the note, which contained the link, from Ella Crouch (right). The 20-year-old, from Norwich, has now revealed the blog, which detailed Miss Crouch's own battle with an eating disorder, 'changed her life'. She said: 'If she hadn't given me that note I think I'd have been hospitalised pretty soon as I would have kept losing weight.'

When vicar Cris Rogers and his Star Wars-mad children (pictured left) learned the Church of England Lord's Prayer advert had been banned by cinemas, they retaliated by making their own spoof version (pictured right) - and posting it on YouTube. But, almost before you could say 'May the Force be with you', it was also banned... by entertainment giant Sony Music. Rev Rogers, rector of All Hallows Church in Bow, East London, produced the video with his children Isaac, 11, and Daisy, eight.

The driver came within seconds of death when his lorry was hit by the passenger train at 7.38am on Friday after he ignored the flashing red light in the Czech city of Frydek-Mistek. CCTV footage shows the moment the lorry was hit with such force that the cab was separated from the container. Amazingly, the driver escaped with only minor injuries.

A series of stunning photographs capture the moment a large leopard seal decided to play with a team of French divers, under the ice on an expedition to Antarctica. Photographer Alexandre Voyer managed to take the snapshots while he got up close and personal with the giant mammal. But he had to approach the seals with caution as they have a sharp set of teeth (inset) and can become very dangerous when threatened.

George Cole, a guitarist based in California, has been visiting Jimmy Luttrell, who he says in the hospital recovering from pneumonia and now surgery - and who recently proved he still has skills. Sitting propped up in his California hospital bed, Luttrell is captured on video as he seems to effortlessly perform the song How High the Moon with Cole, 'demonstrating what a music master he still is', according to the video caption.
