Rapper Boosie Badazz, 33, 'now cancer free after extremely invasive kidney surgery'

He only announced that he had kidney cancer in late November, and the rapper has just gone under the knife to try to combat the illness.

Boosie Badazz, who's only 33-years-old, revealed on Friday to TMZ that he had his operation on Tuesday, and the extent of the surgery was much greater than expected.

Doctors had to remove half of one of his kidneys in a procedure known as a nephrectomy.

He also told TMZ that doctors were very optimistic that they had successfully removed all of the cancer.

The Booty Talk hitmaker is reportedly still feeling weak three days after the surgery, though he may also be feeling the effects of the cost of the operation.

As he does not have health insurance, he apparently had to pay $90,000 out of pocket for the advanced procedure.
