According to TMZ she had suffered from kidney and pancreas issues since birth.

A GoFundMe page set up to cover the cost of Rose's treatment, updated fans on the sad news.

'I'm sad to report that Rose has passed away this morning around 7.30am,' her management team wrote in a statement.

'All funds raised will now be directed to final expenses and the continuing support of her children.'

Rose is survived by her husband, David, and children, Luke, 16, and Shelby, nine, who she called her 'miracle' babies.

The actress did not let her lifelong illness stop her achieving her goals - whether that be starring on the small screen, or starting a family.

'Getting around is slower these days,' she told the Huffington Post back in 2012.

'A lot of people with disabilities feel that life owes them something, and I was raised in a way that no one owes you a dime. The world doesn’t owe you anything.

'My personal opinion is, get up and go for it.'

Rose played Legless Suzi in the fourth season of American Horror Story, which aired from 2014 to  2015.

Earlier this year her co-star Ben Woolf, who played Meep, died in a Los Angeles hospital aged 34.

The 4ft4 actor suffered a stroke after he was hit in the head by a car's wing mirror while crossing the street in Hollywood.

Rose's co-stars expressed their pain at her loss online.

Sarah Paulson tweeted: 'The AHS family lost one of our own. Rose Siggins was an absolute light...I will never forget your laugh or your beautiful eyes.'

Angela Bassett added: 'Your life touched mine & made it's lasting impression of love, grace, courage & beauty. God's angels sing thee to thy rest.'
