'Oh my God, no!' Selena Gomez balks at rumours she's dating One Direction's Niall Horan at Billboard's Women In Music bash

They certainly gave the impression they were dating but now this songstress is changing her tune.

Selena Gomez flat out denied that she was romantically involved with One Direction heartthrob Niall Horan while attending Billboard's Women In Music 2015 event in New York City on Friday.

The 23-year-old pop star was asked about those rumours by the inquiring Entertainment Tonight and exclaimed: 'Oh my God, no!'

Selena went on to state that she has nothing but admiration for Niall, 21, saying: 'I love him, I always have. He's amazing.'

The pair were first linked on December 4 at Channing Tatum's wife's 35th birthday party at Bootsy Bellows nightclub where they were spotted 'kissing in front of everyone' before leaving together, according to Us Weekly.

'Niall and Selena were seen kissing in the middle of the club, in front of everyone,' a source told the magazine. '[They] definitely seemed very close and like they were together. 

'Niall got there first with his bodyguard, then the next thing I know, I looked over and Selena was there. They were very close together, talking and whispering.'

Then Niall and Selena were spotted on what looked like a date Saturday night at Santa Monica Pier where they were seen riding the rollercoaster and strolling side-by-side together in footage captured by a Twitter user.

While the Good For You singer may have put a stake in hope for Gomez-Horan romance, she still looked pretty as a picture at the Billboard annual luncheon wearing a 1920s-inspired dress by Rodarte featuring Swarovski crystals.

Earlier this week, Selena also defended her performance at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show after social media fans accused her of singing to a pre-recorded track.

'Yes I f***ing sing live,' the Come & Get It singer wrote Tuesday on her Instagram account.

Selena told ET: 'I am in a place where it is my right to say something and defend myself, because I'm always kind, I'm always nice. Every now and then I deserve to say what I feel.'

Meanwhile, Selena's former love Justin Bieber posted one week ago a picture from a time when they still together as they sat on a motorbike.

'Just a throwback calm down,' the 21-year-old wrote alongside the snap that showed Selena with her head cast down demurely and one hand placed on Justin's thigh.
