Despite what it may look like on Instagram, Kylie and Kendall Jenner don't actually wake up looking flawless.

The sisters both adhere to a multi-step skincare regimen, which they have just shared with fans on Kylie's mobile app and website.

A new video from the Jenners' Beverly Hills-based dermatologist, Dr. Christie Kidd, details the reality stars' in-depth morning and nighttime beauty routines, but despite the Kardashian-Jenner family's love of excess, the doctor says the most important skincare tip she can offer is 'less is more'.

Baby got back! Show it off like Kendall with an Oriett Domenech dress

You really can't go wrong with a classic black dress, but don't be afraid of mixing things up a bit. A backless style is a subtle way of flashing the flesh, and when paired with intricate lace up heels, Kendall is definitely turning heads at the AMA red carpet.

We love her seemingly simple dress by Oriett Domenench that makes you do a double take when she turns around. Pairing it with a simple top knot and some freshly shorn bangs, Kendall knows how to show off how sexy a woman's back can be.

Oriett Domenech is originally from the Dominican Republic and worked with another famous DR designer, Oscar de la Renta before starting her own line of womenswear that highlights the elegance of the female form. Like ODLR, she uses ruffles, lace and embellishment often. Check out her designs with a click to the right or look below if you need a little black dress stat!

Kylie, 18, shared the a screengrab from the clip on Instagram, telling followers: 'OK guys my amazing life-changing dermatologist is going to start giving skincare tips on my app!!! Christie Kidd's first video is up right now!!'

In the clip, titled 'Skincare: Layering 101', Christie says it's important to keep your beauty regimen simple 'so your skin can be clean and glowing'.

For starters, the dermatologist recommends beginning the morning with sunblock after washing your face with a cleanser and patting it dry. She says sunscreen is key for keeping your skin protected - even if you're spending most of the day indoors.

Next, use a light moisturizer all over your face. Christie urges people to steer clear of tinted moisturizers because the creams are designed to seep into the layers of your skin, and the pigment in tinted moisturizers can cause acne breakouts.

The doctor's steps for nighttime are much more in-depth. First, remove all of your make-up to prevent breakouts and keep skin clean.

Secondly, wash your face with a deep cleanser to get rid of dead skin cells, dirt, and oil, and pat it dry. Follow this with a light serum, which keeps skin looking firm and also helps reduce the appearance of pores.

In you're ever having doubts about the order of applying skin care products, Christie says a good rule of thumb is to apply light (serums, toners) to heavy (moisturizers).

Natural: Christie's mantra is 'less is more', encouraging people to use less products to keep skin looking clean and glowing, as Kyle's does in the photo above

After the serum, finish off your face with a nighttime moisturizer, followed by an eye cream, which helps to reduce the appearance of bags and under-eye circles.

Christie's final step is applying lip balm, so that your lips won't chap while you sleep.

Kylie, who has revealed that her beauty regimen costs a whopping $3,560 for all the products and treatments she uses, recently credited Christie with her flawless complexion.

The reality star, who uses Christie's own brand of cleanser and moisturizer, said the doctor cleared up Kendall's acne when she was younger.
