The 40-year-old attended Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds show at the Royal Albert Hall and posted a photo of the pair in front of the flag.
‘Amazing evening only disappointment from the night was the colour and size of this flag ... Cheers Noel if only it had been RED,’ quipped Beckham.
However Beckham has had the last laugh, posting the now red Manchester City flag on his Instagram page captioned, ‘So much better sorry Noel.’
His photo editing skills are sure to get a response from Gallagher, who is a lifelong City supporter along with former Oasis brother band-mate Liam,
The pair have owned corporate boxes at the club for years and their songs can be regularly heard booming out at the Etihad stadium.
Fortunately Beckham was far more impressed by the concert than the Manchester club's flag.
