It is thought he was killed and fed to pigs.

District Attorney Jerome Gorman said that the alleged crime scene was 'one of the worst things' that he had ever witnessed.

The $10million bond is the highest that Gorman has ever asked for in his 34 years as a prosecutor.

The investigation began after police were called to the Jones residence the morning after Thanksgiving to look into a report of an 'armed disturbance'.

When they went to investigate they learned that a seven-year-old boy had gone missing some time earlier, and after issuing a search warrant they found the boys remains.

Heather Jones father Jeff Coon told The Kansas City Star that his daughter called him on Thanksgiving.

'She told me that Mike killed the little boy and it would be all over the news,' the father said.

'He fed him to the pigs, is all she said... She just told me it was going to be all over the news, and that’s the last time we talked.'

Coon only learned days later that his daughter had been telling the truth.

'I don’t know if I didn’t want to believe her,' he said.

'She was just calm, just like we’re talking now. That’s why I never gave it another thought.'

Because of his estrangement with his daughter, Coon had not seen Adrian for two years.

'I just don’t understand what that little boy had done to get what he got. There’s no reason for it,' he said of the young boy's death.

There were six other children, all thought to be girls, living in the Jones home and they ranged in age from younger than two to ten-years-old. They have been placed in protective custody.

The babysitters  for the family claimed that multiple people contacted the Kansas Department For Children and Families with concerns about the children and their living conditions.

Heather's brother Michael Williams told NBC News last week; 'There are bullet holes in the walls of that house. So I'm sure you can understand what terror may have been going through that household daily.'

Michael's father Jerome Jones told CBS 5 however that his son 'loved kids' and that he 'is not the type of person that would do what he's accused of doing'.

Heather Jones is due to make a first appearance in Wyandotte County District Court on Monday.
