Preparing for the red carpet already? Happy Rooney Mara goes on clothes spree after netting Golden Globes nomination
She has every reason to smile after netting yet another Golden Globes nomination for best actress.
So no wonder Rooney Mara was looking so pleased with herself as she indulged in a shopping spree in West Hollywood on Saturday.
The Carol favourite may have even been making some early red carpet preparations by splashing out on some designer threads in the bustling area of Los Angeles County.
Basking in the Golden Global glow of success: Nominee Rooney Mara looked chipper as she went clothes shopping in West Hollywood on Saturday
The saucy starlet was looking almost as good as ever despite going for a dressed down look of cream-coloured biker jacket, black T-shirts jeans and boots.,
Rooney, 30, also bravely went make-up free for her thrilling outing, though she did add a dash of celebrity pizzazz by wearing sunglasses on an overcast day.
A member of the megarich Rooney and Mara football clans, the pint-sized star's family owns NFL teams the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants.
Daring to bare: She showed her natural beauty by opting for a make-up free look on her outing
Turning heads: The pint-sized actress was looking in fine form indeed despite her relaxed ensemble
And she will be tackling her on-screen lesbian lover Cate Blanchett as she bids to win her first Golden Globe, after previously being nominated in 2011 for her turn in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
But it could be the couple end up thwarting each other's chances, as they are also up against the likes of Brie Larson, Saoirse Ronan and Alicia Vikander in the best actress in a motion picture - drama category.
Rooney has already drawn first blood in her battle against her more celebrated co-star, as she won the best actress prize at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
She looks spec-tacular: She added a dash of showbiz pizzazz to her look by wearing shades on a cloudy day
However the heavyweights have been kept apart at the forthcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards as she was given to a mere best supporting actress nod, though this may result in a dream double win for the on-screen lovers.
Whatever happens, she already has bragging rights in her ongoing sisterly rivallry with fellow actress Kate Mara.
While Rooney has won acclaim for her turn as a shop assistant who falls for a glamorous blonde society woman, her elder sister's turn as the Invisible Woman in the disastrous Fox reboot Fantastic Four was as instantly forgettable as the film itself.
In need of a back rub: Rooney was doubtlessly a little tense after discovering she was facing off against her on-screen lover Cate Blanchett for the best actress in a motion picture - drama Golden Globe
