Get mad for plaid like Daisy in Dior

Daisy Ridley may be playing a character in the space age, but her style for the South Korea film event is firmly planted in today's timelessness. Her Dior half plaid half black suit mixes a classic print with a slightly sculpturally tailored jacket for a modern but timeless look. During this holiday season, we can't think of anything more festive than a pair of red plaid pants.

While one might think red plaid pants are relegated to old men on the gold course, we think otherwise. Rocker Gwen Stefani has worn plaid pants with punk appeal. Plaid pants are preppy and punky depending on how you style them.

While you can't get the exact ones Ridley is wearing, don't get mad, get plaid by checking out our edit below. Style your paid from Anthropologie with a slick black blazer to mimic Daisy's look or go punky with a open weave sweater and flatforms.

Daisy told the Sunday Times Style magazine: '[Carrie is] brilliant. Amazing. One of the smartest, funniest women I've ever met.'

She gave Ridley tips about stalkers, joking, 'It's hard to date once you're a big Star Wars star, because you don't want to give people the ability to say, "I had sex with Princess Leia".'

The London based actress is set to play mysterious character Rey in the rebooted action film, and while she wouldn't answer speculation she is actually Han Solo and Princess Leia's daughter, Daisy revealed a few details about the heroine's personality.

She explained that Rey is just 'a normal girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances. What I found really lovely is that I get to do all the fun stuff - run around the desert and fight baddies - but her story is also really emotional.'

Daisy worked hard to get into shape for the part of a lifetime, which she secured following a an intense five-audition process.

She was training five hours a day up to five times a week for three months, as well as lifting weights and loading up on protein in order to perform the difficult stunts without the help of CGI.
