And Jennifer Lawrence once again demonstrated her fashion prowess when she attended a screening of her new film Joy on Saturday in New York.

The 25-year-old beauty again set a new standard for elegance and sophistication with her ensemble for the evening.

Jennifer sported a little black dress with lacy elements that ended just above the knee, though she kept it mostly hidden with a wide-collared black velvet trenchcoat that fell just above the hem of the dress.

Intricate strappy stiletto heels emphasized The Hunger Games star's sculpted, porcelain legs.

Her iconic shoulder length blonde tresses were tucked back behind her left ear as she made her way into the Director's Guild theater.

Of course, she was accompanied by good friend and director of Joy David O. Russell, who was looking sharp in a grey suit and matching grey Nike trainers.

There's nothing better than sometimes seeing a star just working an LBD for everything it's worth. Jennifer Lawrence looks amazing here, in her all-black ensemble. And as much as we love that dress, and coat, it's those fabulous Christian Louboutin Benedetta heels that we can't take our eyes off.

We are so glad Jennifer (or her stylist) chose these shoes to team with this look. If she had gone for a closed toe court, it might have made the whole outfit seem a bit too much. Seeing her slender feet, and perfectly manicured toes, really lengthen her legs, too.
