Sikh Broncos fans are told by security that they can't go to the game 'because of their turbans' - then get stopped by the bomb squad on the way out!
- The group of five friends were at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego to watch the Broncos-Chargers game
- Verinder Malhi said a security guard told them they had to take turbans off
- They were finally let inside but the guard said they could not wear the turbans if they ever returned
- A fellow football fan also called police and said they had seen three men in turbans fussing around with something in the trunk
- Malhi said they were putting a bag back inside the car
Three Sikh Americans were harassed by security staff and denied entry to watch an NFL game in San Diego last week because they were wearing turbans.
Even though Verinder Malhi explained to a guard that his religion prohibited him and his friends from removing their headgear, the men were told the only way they were going to see the Broncos-Chargers game was to do as they were told.
Keeping calm, the four friends were eventually allowed inside Qualcomm Stadium still wearing their turbans, but their humiliation was not-yet complete.
As they were leaving, their car was subjected to a search by a bomb-sniffing dog after a member of the public phoned police because they saw the men 'suspiciously' putting a bag inside the trunk.

Vardiner Malhi (second from right) said he and his friends were initially denied entry to watch a Broncos-Chargers game in San Diego because three of them were wearing turbans as part of their Sikh faith
The incident follows Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump calling for the banning of all Muslims from entering the US in light of the San Bernardino terror attacks which claimed the lives of 14 people.
'Everybody is kind of confusing us with the turbans, because what you see on TV is mostly the terrorists, they wear turbans,' said Malhi.
'But our turbans is different, our faith is different, our beliefs are different.'
Sikhism is a religion predominatly practiced in India's Punjab region and is linked to Hinduism but has no relation to Islam.
'It's bad, I mean, this is embarrassing for me,' Malhi told 10 News .
'We are Americans at the end of the day. And we are not supposed to be afraid of fellow Americans.'
Malhi said the men - who drove seven hours from Fresno to San Diego - were eventually let inside the stadium, but the security guard told them they could not wear their turbans if they ever returned.
Last weekend a California Sikh temple was vandalized and sprayed with anti-Islamic State and anti-Islam messages.
Police believe it to be a hate crime carried out in response by the San Bernardino attacks committed by a radicalized Pakistani-American and his wife.
