Manchester United have been handed a trip into the unknown after being drawn against Midtjylland in the Europa League last 32 tie.

They will face Brentford owner Matthew Benham’s Danish side, who have taken Europe by storm with their Moneyball approach to the game.

United, who were knocked out of the Champions League last week by Wolfsburg, could have faced the likes of Borussia Dortmund, or Gary Neville's Valencia in the next round.

Liverpool, whose manager Jurgen Klopp avoided a sensational reunion with Dortmund, are to play Germans, Augsburg and will fancy their chances of progressing to the last 16.

Tottenham have a very different prospect, though, and will again meet Fiorentina - under a year after being dumped out of the competition by the Serie A side.
