Two siblings, aged three and five, are found dead in a storage unit while a third is recovering from severe abuse as a woman and man are arrested on torture charges

Two people have been arrested after the bodies of two young siblings, aged three and five, were found in a storage locker in Redding, California.
A third sibling - a girl who had been severely abused - is in a critical condition in hospital following emergency surgery.
Plumas County authorities said they arrested Tami Joy Huntsman, 39, and Gonzalo Curiel, 17, on Monday on charges of felony child abuse, torture and mayhem, which is when someone intentionally disfigures another person.
Both are from Quincy, California. It is believed Huntsman is related to the children.

According to KSBW, police were were led to an apartment complex on Fremont Street in East Salinas, which belonged to an extended relative of the victims.
It is thought the person may have had temporary custody of the children at the time.
The bodies were discovered in Redding - about 140 miles away - after Plumas County sheriff's deputies arrested Huntsman and Curiel in connection with the injured child.
Forensic teams wearing white suits were seen in the complex throughout Monday afternoon.
Authorities are awaiting to carry out the autopsies. The names and genders of the dead victims have not been released but the case is being treated as a homicide.
It is believed the bodies were found as part of a wider child abuse investigation - the details of which have not been made available.
