DJ Khaled gets lost at sea on a jet ski at night... and Snapchats the ride from hell before finally finding his way home

DJ Khaled had a scare while jet skiing in Miami.

The record producer had just visited his friend Rick Ross' house on Monday when he tried to return to his own home in the evening.

Khaled, born Khaled Mohamed Khaled, posted a series of Snapchat videos of his harrowing attempts to find his way back after the sun had set.

In the short videos, captured by YouTube user SportsReactions, the 40-year-old can be seen becoming more and more panicked as the sky gets darker.

'It's dark, and in a minute, there's going to be no light,' Khaled informs his social media followers.

The radio show host then reveals that his only source of artificial light is his cellphone: 'It's pitch-black out here, I put the flash[light] on the phone.'

However, despite his nerves and the less than ideal situation, he remains optimistic.

'It's so dark out here, we don't know where the hell we are at,' Khaled says, 'but the key is to make it. The key is to never give up.'

In the final video, he admits to having made a poor decision: 'The key is not to drive your jet ski in the dark. This is against the law. Not even just that. This ain't right.'
