He has just wrapped up the twelfth series of The X Factor. 

So Simon Cowell is no doubt in some desperate need of relaxation as he jetted off to his annual Barbados break with his partner Lauren Silverman and their adorable son Eric. 

The 56-year-old music mogul looked at ease as he chilled out with his family on Thursday as they continued to enjoy their sun-soaked vacation, where he enjoyed a precious moment by high-fiving his son.

Lauren, 38, showed off her incredible curves in a skimpy red bikini, where her tie-side bottoms enhanced her extremely long and slim legs to maximum effect.

She coordinated her mirrored aviator sunglasses with the swimsuit while pulling her raven tresses into a chic ponytail which she topped off with a white baseball cap. 

Despite taking a dip in the Caribbean waters, the brunette beauty still managed to show off her superstar credentials with the addition of a huge blingy watch and delicate hooped earrings.

Simon looked chilled out in a pair of blue and white swimming trunks while showing off his trim figure from beneath his life-jacket. 

He sported an incredibly trendy pair of black aviators as he rocked designer stubble which was flourishing into a full beard.  

Ever the protective parents, Simon and Lauren ensured Eric was sun safe with the addition of a bathing T-shirt and shorts with a floppy hat.

A painting in tribute: As they paraded along the shore, Simon was touchingly greeted by a Barbadian artist names Carl 'Wolly' Hewett who had created a touching tribute to the star's late mother, Julie

Simon's beloved mum Julia passed away in July, much to the bitter sadness of her superstar son. 

The artist painted a beautiful picture depicting Simon and Julia, with the words 'Mum I Love You' emblazoned across the top of the image. 

He then wrote upon the back of the painting 'A tribute to Simon Cowell late mum Julie Brett - From Wooly Hewett

It has been a tough year for Simon, as, including Julia's death he was faced with the lowest ever X Factor ratings and a terrifying home burglary. 

As the clan were enjoying their day, detectives hunting burglars who raided Simon's £10million London mansion issued video footage of a suspect.

The CCTV footage was taken in the early hours of Friday December 4th when £500,000 worth of cash and jewellery was taken from Simon's house in Holland Park where he, Lauren and Eric, slept inside.

The man in the footage is described as slim and around 5' 10'. He was wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers and a red woolly hat.
