Sarah Paulson holds hands with rumoured girlfriend Holland Taylor as they hit up opening of Broadway play

They have ignited speculation that they are more than just friends.

And on Sunday night, Sarah Paulson and her rumoured girlfriend Holland Taylor held hands as they arrived to the opening of Fiddler On The Roof in New York City. 

The 41-year-old Game Change actress led the leading lady, 72, through the throng, while exquisitely dressed herself in a plush black sweater.

Sarah was primped to perfection with a hot pink slick of lipstick, glossy waves in her hair, and bronze blush to add a sun kissed touch to her cheeks.

Holland was clearly in top spirits herself.

The Two And A Half Men star had a wide smile on her face as she was led towards the entrance, bundled up in a cherry red jacket and forest green gloves.

She polished on strawberry hued lipstick, light pink blush, and looped on a lightweight olive green scarf for a chic touch. 

Sarah and Holland's rumoured relationship has landed in the headlines.  

While they have not confirmed their relationship, the pair have been pictured holding hands and have dropped several hints on social media.

Holland shared a photo of Sarah getting ready for the Carol premiere in New York City last month, along with the words: 'When captions fail...' 

Pictures of the two women enjoying a romantic candlelit dinner in January were recently unearthed on Holland and Sarah's Twitter pages, suggesting that they have been together for almost a year, if not longer.

In one photo, the pair were sitting opposite each other as they sipped wine and perused the menus at an Italian restaurant, and had the caption: 'We are so up to no good.'

Another snapshot, captioned 'about last night', showed Holland's hands resting on Sarah's wrists. 

The celebrated stage actress said during an interview with WNYC.org last month that she is deeply in love with a woman and that they are talking about marriage.

Holland wouldn't reveal who her partner is, but said that she is much younger.

'I'm sure [that] shocks a lot of people, and it startles me,' she admitted, but added: 'It’s the most wonderful extraordinary thing that could have ever possibly happened in my life.' 

Holland also spoke openly about her sexuality, and told the podcast: ‘I haven't come out because I am out, I live out.’

Meanwhile, Sarah - who told Broadway.com in 2013 that her sexuality is 'fluid' - only dated men until she started a relationship with 24 actress Cherry Jones, 59, in 2004. They split in 2009.
