She is hardly shy and retiring.

So it surely won't surprise fans that Madonna hit back at concert bosses who instructed engineers to cut her sound at Glasgow's Hydro on Sunday.

The 57 year-old took to social media on Sunday after being left without sound or lighting in the final moments of her latest Rebel Heart tour date.

The outspoken star was forced to perform without lights or sound after going over time at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro last night, the Daily Record report.

They report how she was forced to power on acapella - and in the dark - more than two hours into her set.

It came after she was late for her start time at the Scottish city, causing her to go beyond the 11pm curfew for noise pollution.

Taking to social media after the show, she wrote: 'We don't stop till its over Glasgow! Don't f**k with the Queen'.

In a slightly tamer version of the same message, she wrote on Instagram: 'We don't stop till its over Glasgow! Don't try to silence the Queen.' [SIC] 

The music legend also added: 'Love you Glasgow,' another Instagram post.

Clearly not feeling contrite over her antics, she also posted a series of snaps which showed her continuing regardless.

The SSE Hydro said in a statement today: 'Madonna finished the agreed set and then chose to come on for another song.

'By that stage, all the power and control equipment had already been disconnected by the production teams.'
