Ruby Rose gets yanked on the arm by an impassioned fan at a Los Angeles gig before security step in to pry the Australian star away

She was the fifth most Googled people of 2015, so it's hardly surprising that Ruby Rose has her share of impassioned fans.

But things got a little crazy for the Australian star when she performed a show in Los Angeles at the weekend, when a fan tried to pull her into the crowd, forcing security to step in and pry her away.

The 29-year-old shared a short video of the incident to her Instagram later that night, showing the closure of her show at Exchange nightclub on Saturday night with explosions of confetti.

'They say you don't need your arm!' Ruby Rose got yanked by an impassioned fan at a Los Angeles gig on Saturday

As she jumped to the front of the mosh pit to touch the hands of her adoring crowd, one audience member held onto her arm and continued to pull on it rather staunchly.

Security kept a watchful eye on the Orange Is The New Black star, who then appeared to turn to him for help, putting his arm out into the crowd to release her from their grip.

She then jumped back up onto a platform on stage, and continued to see out the rest of her gig by playing air-guitar to Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses.

Giving them what they want! After being pried apart by security, the 29-year-old continued to close out her gig with explosions of confetti and playing air-guitar to Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses

It seems like it's back to business for the newly single Ruby, who called off her 20-month engagement to Phoebe Dahl last week.

The brunette beauty took to Twitter not long after the announcement to pay tribute to their relationship.

She wrote: 'Phoebe remains very dear to my heart. I will forever treasure our time together. I'm a better person because of the time we shared.'

Phoebe also took to her Twitter with an equally emotional message, writing: 'Ruby Rose you have brought me to my best and I will always love you. I can't wait to see what the future brings for us'.

The rumoured split comes six months after Ruby made her big debut on American TV series, Orange Is The New Black as Stella Carlin.

Following her break on the small screen the Australian model slipped that she had to delay her wedding to Phoebe due to a busy schedule.

'When I booked Orange, I thought things were going to change a little bit and I'd be a little busier, but obviously I underestimated it,' she told People at the time.
