'It's a thing of beauty!' Chrissy Teigen gushes as John Legend presents her with a whole parmesan wheel for Christmas

When Chrissy Teigan has cravings, she doesn't settle for a takeaway.

The pregnant model showed her dedication to all things edible when she demontsrated how her new 'cheese wheel' works on Saturday.

'John got me my lifetime dream for Christmas!' wrote Chrissy of her singer husband John Legend. 'A cheese wheel to dump pasta and risotto in for years to come! My tableside serving game is bout to be liiiiiit!'

The 30-year-old explained of her new purchase: 'Oh man, it is a thing a beauty. Hot pasta is tossed around, gently melting the cheese and plated right at your table,' she wrote.

'It makes me emotional,' she added. 

In the picture Legend is seen holding the huge cheese wheel as Chrissy plants a sweet kiss on his cheek.

The hollowed out whole Parmesan is used to coat hot pasta in parmesan before serving, creating a piping hot swirl of melted cheese and spaghetti.

Chrissy posted another picture illustrating how a cook uses the cheese wheel - which are priced upwards of $1,000.

Despite her slender figure, Chrissy sure embraces her food.

The model had tweeted about enjoying 'Greek night' on Friday - knocking out a variety of Greek dishes including Baklava and grilled whole fish with herbs and lemon. 

Chrissy has put together a cookbook that's due out in a couple of months and she's an avid sharer of her culinary talents on social media.

Last week she shared a short Instagram video showing her making cinnamon rolls while wearing a cleavage-baring dress.

Chrissy, who's due to give birth to her first child in the spring, told Vogue that she really wanted to produce an authentic set of recipes to share with fans.

'My biggest fear was looking like this book was shoved out by some model who pretends to eat pizza and pokes around at things in the kitchen,' she told the magazine.

'I wanted to prove to people that I have a real passion and love for food.' 

Chrissy's cookbook Cravings hits shelves on February 23 and it's already number one in pre-sale orders on Amazon.com.

They say pregnancy keeps you glowing, and in Chrissy Teigen's case it's definitely true.

Whilst some would feel less than their best at this stage, the stunning model managed to look absolutely perfect stepping out in an all-black ensemble.

Heading for a cozy dinner with husband John Legend in Hollywood on Tuesday night, Chrissy was able to reveal her bump in an altogether flattering tight black dress.

Teamed with a gorgeous Saint Laurent black leather biker jacket, the beauty looked every inch cool-but-casual.

We absolutely adore her lace up sandals as well - proving she really can do no wrong.

Of course, it wouldn't be Los Angeles without a trademark tan, and it's something Ms. Teigen has down to a T!

Completed with her luscious, long locks scraped into a high ponytail, Chrissy looks like a rock chick without scrimping on class.
