'I'm very excited!' Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham, 24, reveals she is adopting a child

She has gone from teenage mother to reality star to porn vixen to sex toy entrepreneur but now this celebrity says she is ready to make a serious career change so she can be a mother of two.

Farrah Abraham's approach to parenting has sometimes raised eyebrows but the 24-year-old has revealed she has room in her heart for another child.

The mother of one - Sophia, 6 - is in the process of adopting a sibling for her little girl.

First reported by OK magazine but then personally confirmed by the Teen Mom OG star to Us Weekly, Farrah said she was very excited.

The 24-year-old said: 'I'm happy to confirm I'm moving forward in my adoption process. 

'This means I will be making some changes in my career to welcome a new addition to my family.'

While she did not say what changes she planned to make, of late Farrah has been distancing herself from a particular period of her life.

Farrah has long been one of the most infamous members of the Teen Mom series, after she went from reality star to porn star.

In 2013, the MTV celebrity featured in a pornographic film, Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom with adult-film star James Deen.

Farrah has recently been one of many women to come forward and accuse Deen sexual assault.

Now looking towards her future and her possible growing family's future, the brunette told Us Weekly: '[I am] very excited and this feels so right. I'm very blessed for this opportunity.'

According to Farrah, Sophia is also very excited, with the star telling OK: 'Sophia is in the right frame of mind and is very supportive as well.

'She is very open and accepting to understanding that someone else had other parents, and we would be their second parent and be a loving family to them.'

Farrah has raised Sophia as a single mom as the little girl's father Derek Underwood, died in a car accident in February 2009 before she was born.

However, Farrah did give custody of Sophia to her own mother Debra briefly back in 2011 while she moved to Florida to pursue her education and modelling.

The star has admitted to spending long periods away from her daughter and became the target of criticism back in 2013 after saying having time apart was 'healthy'.

The star told InTouch: 'It's healthy that we have a break. She has her own life and is doing her own thing, and I'm doing mine.'

In one of the latest trailers for the upcoming season of Teen Mom, Sophia shows wisdom beyond her years, consoling her mother after Farrah wars with MTV producers.

However in a new trailer released Monday, Farrah brands her daughter 'selfish' after the six-year-old pokes out her tongue at her grandmother and smacks her mom.

In the clip, Farrah disciplines the little girl saying: 'Sometimes you're immature and you're selfish, and you don't think about other people but yourself.'
