Hello...record book! Adele's album 25 set to smash yet another music industry benchmark with third consecutive week exceeding ONE MILLION units sold

This week her single Hello was finally knocked off the top of the Billboard Pop Songs chart after four weeks at number one.

But it doesn't seem to be affecting sales of Adele's album, as 25 is about to set yet another world record.

As reported by Billboard, the 27-year-old singer's album is set to sell a million copies for a third non-consecutive week.

When it does so, it will be the first album in history to set that record since Nielson started tracking sales in 1991.

And it's only the latest record to fall to the fantastically successful '25,' which has been a strataspheric hit since day one.

Billboard also pointed out that after four weeks on sale, the album had racked up 5.98 million units sold, which makes it the highest selling album in the United States since Adele's last record '21,' which ended up selling 11.37 million copies since it's release in 2011.

Adele's album has been on a tear for awhile now, initially making news for totaling the most sales in one week of a particular record since the Nielson agency started keeping track of point-of-sale album purchases in 1991.

Back in November, she thundered by the previous record holder, boy band NSYNC.
