It seems she does not like the idea of going bump in the afternoon.

For Cat Deeley hid her blossoming baby belly beneath her clothes as she went shopping in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

The SMTV Live icon seemed in high spirits as she sauntered out of the upmarket Barney's Of New York department store in the posh area of Los Angeles County.

Cat, 39, seemed in high spirits after going wild in the aisles in what was a busy day for festive shoppers around the globe.

The self-styled presenter was looking in fine form in her grey woolen jacket, trendy scarf, leggings and knee high suede boot.s

The expat revealed in September that she and roguishly handsome husband Patrick Kielty, 44, are expanding their family to three, with a baby due to arrive in 2016.

However, the bubbly beauty - who dropped the baby bombshell on Twitter - recently admitted that she had planned to keep her pregnancy under wraps for a little longer.

Cat said: 'To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't have even announced it to anybody if I hadn't been doing a live show.

'I probably would have tried to hide it for a bit longer, but it got to the point where I was like, "Ah, I'm live every week." And then people grab me and I'm like, "Oh no."

She had written on the social networking site for the big reveal: 'Exciting news... Paddy and I are so happy to be expecting our first child in the spring... Lucky us.'

The delightful news came just a month after the Northern Irish presenter and comic joked about the possibility of having children with his wife of three years.

Funnyman Patrick said: 'I hope any child we might have has Cat's looks and my accent. 'With our two strong accents, we basically needed subtitles or a UN translator.'
