She wrote: 'Hey you guys… Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon.
'It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled.'
'Please hold on to your tickets,' she added. 'They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced. Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time.'

Unbreakable is Jackson's eleventh studio album and the first after the death of her pop star brother Michael Jackson in 2009 (the singer pictured in May of 2013)
'There will be no further comment,' the pop star continued. 'I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon' b alright.'
In October she cancelled other tour dates, writing on Twitter: 'Hey you guys, I must rest my vocal chords. Doctor's orders... Will be rescheduling Salt Lake and Denver.'
It is not the first time the pop icon has had to put a hold on her concert dates, as earlier that same month she had to cancel her Las Vegas show, again due to vocal strain.
Unbreakable is Jackson's eleventh studio album and the first after the death of her pop star brother Michael Jackson in 2009.
The album topped the Billboard 200 chart in October, giving Jackson her seventh No. 1 album and making her only the third musician to achieve a chart-topping record in each of the past four decades.
The only other artists to score a chart-topping record in each of the past four decades are Barbra Streisand and Bruce Springsteen.
