'Almost five months!' Katherine Webb shows off her TINY baby bump during a visit to the doctor - two weeks after revealing she and AJ McCarron are expecting a son

Pregnant Katherine Webb has shared the first picture of her baby bump since revealing last month that she and husband AJ McCarron are expecting a son together. 

But despite being almost five months along in her first pregnancy, the slender 26-year-old, who is a former Miss Alabama, barely has a bump to show for it. 

Snapping the selfie in the mirror of her doctor's office, Katherine, who wed NFL player AJ in July 2014, lifted up her long-sleeved top to reveal an almost-completely flat stomach, showing off just the tiniest hint of a baby belly, while the rest of her physique appeared as lean and toned as ever.

'Bubs trying to make an appearance for the Doc,' she captioned the image. 'Some days he pokes out more than others but he's in there lol [sic].'

She added the hashtag #almost5months to indicate that she is more than halfway through her pregnancy, and is likely expecting her firstborn to arrive in late springtime next year. 

Interestingly, Katherine's bump looks almost smaller than when she jokingly posted a picture of her stomach shortly after eating a McDonald's two months ago. In the funny social media snap, the model shared an image of her bloated post-fast food stomach, before sharing another shot of it looking trimmed and toned and back to normal just a few minutes later. 

'Guess what??? I am so excited to announce that I am 20 minutes preggers with an Egg McMuffin,' she wrote, before adding: 'Thank you McDonalds breakfast all-day for this wonderful blessing. I can poke out this food baby so good #reallytho.' 

While most of her followers assumed it was just a joke at the time, it turns out that the onetime Sports Illustrated model was actually two-months pregnant when posting the snap.

This latest bump image is the first that Katherine has posted of her bump, since first revealing the happy news of her pregnancy exactly two weeks ago in a sweet and sentimental Instagram post.

Opening up: The former Miss Alabama admitted that the couple had been trying for a baby for some time

Alongside a picture showing her at the doctor's office having an ultrasound, with a beaming AJ posing alongside her, Katherine wrote: 'AJ and I feel beyond blessed and grateful to FINALLY announce after four months we have been keeping a secret! We are having a BOY!'

She added: 'Thank you all so much for your prayers for us as it hasn't been an easy journey. We thank God everyday for this wonderful blessing and can't wait to share this journey with all of you!'  

Katherine and AJ, who plays quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, had some difficulty getting pregnant, and are overjoyed with their baby news, which they also shared with fans on both of their Twitter pages.

The 2012 Miss Alabama winner and her athlete husband got married in July 2014, and had been trying for a baby since last year.

She detailed their struggles on Instagram five months ago, posting a photo of the couple's dog along with the caption: 'We have been trying for the last year to get pregnant with our first, but this little nugget has been my kid either way, and always gives me kisses when I'm down about it.'

Underneath her original ultrasound photo, which has earned nearly 10,000 likes in one hour, fans wished the pair congratulations on their exciting news.

'Most exciting news ever! Congrats guys!' said one follower, while another shared: 'Congratulations and nothing but happiness and healthy wishes for you and your expanding family!' 

Katherine gained fame during her appearance at the 2013 BCS National Championship Game, when college football announcers began paying more attention to her beauty than what her then-boyfriend AJ was doing on the field.

AJ, meanwhile, was the star quarterback at the University of Alabama, and was a runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 2013. 

He was drafted by the Bengals in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft. A few months later, AJ and Katherine tied the knot in a lavish ceremony by the Gulf shores in Orange Beach, Alabama.

The bride wore a custom fit-and-flare gown with diamond embellishments, while her bridesmaids wore blush pink dresses. 

'I wanted to make sure [the wedding] looked like a dream, something I was walking into that I would only imagine in my dream,' Katherine said of the pair's extravagant nuptials.
