Behind them is a festive red backdrop adorned with stars and red ribbons while the words, 'Merry Christmas' are emblazoned along the bottom of the card.

Whatever his intentions, the image has come under fire by many on social media, who are questioning Nick's integrity given his current situation.

During the six months his 22-year-old ex, who is the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown,  was in a coma, and even now, the 25-year-old has been the focus of inquiries and was filed with a lawsuit in June accusing him of assault, battery, causing emotional distress and stealing Bobbi Kristina's money.

Following the TV personality's passing on July 26, the conservator of her estate then hit Gordon with a 'wrongful death' civil suit in August.

The complaint alleged that Gordon fed Bobbi Kristina a 'toxic cocktail' then place her face-down in a tub of cold water on the last night she was conscious.

In September one of Bobbi's close friends opened up about the young star's final hours before she was found unconscious in a bath in January, claiming Nick left her 'screaming' following a vicious assault hours before.

Nick's legal team slammed the claims as 'slanderous and meritless', according to People magazine.

In August, Bobbi Kristina's court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove said: 'Consistent with and to the letter of the civil action I initially filed on behalf of Bobbi Kristina, we will continue to pursue justice for her.

'We will leave no stone unturned in seeking justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown.'
