Gigi Hadid is one of the world's most promising supermodels, but one who takes pride in her cultural heritage.

The 20-year-old model was on the offensive as she took some 'haters' to task via Instagram on Wednesday.

Gigi shared a picture of hands decorated in henna tattoos and went on to explain that it was completely appropriate considering her Palestinian roots, writing, 'check out the last name. Hadid. Palestinian and proud of it.'

The daughter of Yolanda Foster and Palestinian real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid had enjoyed a gathering with close friends.

'Had the best night with some of my oldest friends last night,' Gigi wrote alongside the henna tattoo image.

She added: Feel so blessed to have a foundation of friendship that will bond us for the rest of our lives.

While Gigi stepped out in an all white ensemble, giving it a cool sporting edge with her Adidas trainers, Bella opted for a cool off-beat look in a velvet turtleneck top and 'mom' high waisted jeans. The runway model added a touch of luxe to her outfit with a pair of gorgeous Balenciaga boots.

The cutout ankle booties exude chicness with their chunky heel and buckle details, so much so that Hailey Baldwin, Kendall Jenner and Nicole Richie are proud owners as well.

The feisty model, who walked in Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2015 that aired earlier this month, also stuck up for her mom, Yolanda, whose Lyme disease diagnosis has gotten some skepticism lately.

'U GO MAMMA,' Gigi wrote in bold caps.

Gigi followed up by posting an image of a long-haired, youthful Yolanda in a one-piece bathing suit from an early modeling shoot.

'Yess mamma,' her proud daughter shared.
