Gisele Bundchen hangs Christmas stockings by the fire for kids Jack, Benny, Vivi, and even her two dogs... but forgets to include husband Tom Brady 

As a supermodel, she's used to slipping her luxuriously long lithe legs into stockings.

But Gisele Bundchen was all about the holiday season when she hung up five beautiful red stockings trimmed with white on the guard in front of her fireplace on Thursday - Christmas Eve.

There was one each for six-year-old Benny, and Vivi, three, the children she shares with her NFL star husband Tom Brady, as well as one for Jack, Tom's eight-year-old son with ex-partner Bridget Moynahan.

And just so they didn't feel left out, the Brazilian beauty also hung giant red paws with white cuffs for the family dogs Lua, a Pit Bull mix, and Scooby, a Beagle.

But there was none for the football player. 

The 35-year-old recorded the festive sight in a snap she posted on Instagram with five emojis.

The proud mother has been making Christmas as merry and bright for her family as possible, frequently sharing her efforts on social media.

Tom, a quarterback for the New England Patriots, has been doing his bit, too. 

And he later shared an image of himself sitting next to a mystery Santa Claus, with his Facebook fans convinced it is his favourite tight end, fellow New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski. 

Clearly not deflated by the surprise visitor, he said: 'You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I'm telling you why… Santa Claus is coming to town! Seriously I saw him.'

On December 14 38-year-old Tom posted a photo of his wife on a step ladder placing the star on their enormous Christmas tree that was sparkling with lights and baubles.

He captioned it, adoringly:  'I guess mission wasn’t fully accomplished… NOW we are ready for Christmas! Thanks to the love of my life Gisele.' 

And three days ago Gisele shared a snap of a raisin-decorated gingerbread man fresh out of the oven. The confection could have been crafted by Tom who is better known in the family as 'the pancake master.'

It's been a rewarding year for the 5ft 11in former Victoria's Secret Angel, who stepped down from the catwalk after 20 years as a supermodel in April.

Last month she sold all 1,000 copies of her self-curated Gisele coffee-table book chronicling her career.

The tome retailed for a hefty $700 and she is donating all the profits 'to a charity close to my heart' she revealed in an Instagram last month.

And retirement obviously agrees with her. Gisele told CBS This Morning last month: 'I'm so grateful to be where I am right now because I feel fulfilled.'
