She was last sighted welcoming in the festive season clad in an extravagant princess gown as she performed for a sea of fans at Sydney's Carols In The Domain. 

But it seems that Samantha Jade has turned it down a notch this Christmas, opting to celebrate with her brother in a secluded Bali resort. 

Taking to Instagram during her idyllic getaway, the svelte 29-year-old wished her fans a merry Christmas by sharing a snap as she posed in front of her resort's tropical pool.

Clad in a black bikini set and sheer beach kimono, Samantha posed with her legs crossed and pulled a pouty expression, captioning the photo with: 'Merry Christmas Everyone !!!! #balichristmas.' 

Earlier that day, Samantha shared a rare selfie of her and her brother Alex on Instagram, captioned with: '(heart) my brother.'

The family occasion comes 18 months after Samantha tragically lost her mother Jacqueline to cancer.

The 2012 X Factor winner had put her career on hold in the months prior to her death to be with her family in Perth.

Last week, the Shake That singer shard a touching tribute to her late mother in the lead-up to Christmas by posting an old photo of her to Instagram.

In the photo, Jacqueline is pictured sitting on a park bench, clad in the same kind of knee-high boots favoured by her pop-star daughter.

The mother and daughter look very similar, with some fans commenting on the photo in disbelief at the similarity. 

'You look exactly like her beautiful x', wrote one fan, while another added: 'A spitting image of your mum'.
