Flockin' around the Christmas tree! Gwyneth Paltrow puts a loving arm around children Apple and Moses as they snuggle up for sweet festive snap

She recently quipped she was 'paralyzed' by having too much left to do in preparation for their Christmas celebrations.

But if Gwyneth Paltrow's latest Instagram post is anything to go by, it looked as though all went to plan for the Hollywood actress as she shared a snap of herself cuddled up to her two children Apple, 11, and Moses, nine, on Friday. 

The sweet snap shows the Goop founder and her brood enjoying a group hug on Christmas morning as they stand in front of their beautifully bedecked tree.

The trio looked to be enjoying a relaxed morning as they snuggled up in their pyjamas as Gwyneth placed a loving arm around them before nuzzling her face into their heads.

Proving the loving picture speaks for itself, Gwyneth opted against captioning it with words, instead titling it with only heart emojis.  

It's not known if Gwyneth and the children were joined by her ex-husband Chris Martin, though the Coldplay front-man was seen jetting into Los Angeles, where the family reside, four days ago. 

The couple separated after 11 years of marriage in March 2014, describing the process as 'conscious uncoupling,' before Gwyneth filed for divorce this past April.

Just two days to go before Christmas: On Tuesday Gwyneth shared this hilarious image on Instagram, captioned, 'Paralyzed by too much left to do...'

The family's heartfelt Christmas picture comes just days after the Iron Man star revealed that all of the Christmas shopping and preparation for the big meal was getting on top of her.

On Tuesday, the 43-year-old shared the thoughts of millions of other working mothers when she took to social media with this desperate message: 'Paralyzed by too much left to do...'

The actress almost appeared to be trying to hide in the Instagram selfie, which showed her with the neck of her grey woolly jumper pulled up past her nose. 

All that was visible of the beautiful blonde was her luminous blue eyes and forehead.

Meanwhile, aside from getting ready for the holiday season, Gwyneth was busy overseeing her Goop pop-up shop, which opened in New York in November.

The star got together with Valentino’s design team, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, to come up with a collection inspired by Wonder Woman.

Prices range from $10,500 for a leather jacket and tulle dresses at $8,900 to $275 for a leather bracelet.

Meanwhile, once the Christmas rush is over, Gwyneth  has two projects coming up next year.

She is due to appear in Ryan Murphy's musical anthology series One Hit Wonders about three has-been pop stars who team up in a super-group; and 33 Dias in which she stars as Pablo Picasso's muse Dora Maar with Antonio Banderas as the artist.
