A Caribbean Christmas! Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi put on a loving display as stroll around St Barts

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi put on a loving display as they squeezed in some last minute shopping on Christmas Eve, escaping the winter chill for the sunny climes of St Barts on Thursday. 

The pair were the picture of happiness as they strolled around the shops on the Caribbean island, walking hand-in-hand between boutiques after jetting in for the holiday.

Ellen attempted to keep a low-profile in a sun hat, shorts and a T-shirt, keeping a pair of sunglasses on throughout the outing on Thursday.

Opting for comfort, the 57-year-old added a cross body satchel and some sneakers to her look. 

Meanwhile, Portia was stylish in a floaty green dress and straw hat. The actress added layers of beads to her laid back look and finished her outfit with some flat sandals. 

She kept one arm around Ellen's shoulder as they strolled through the town, smiling behind her pair of mirrored sunglasses.

The pair, who married in 2008, could barely take their eyes off one another throughout the trip, stopping for a tender moment in the street. 

Ellen affectionately placed a hand on her partner's waist as they chatted, with Portia holding on to her shoulders in return. 

The duo seemed engrossed in conversation, perhaps discussing the final touches to their festive plans.

Ellen and Portia are understood to have recently flown to the island after Ellen wrapped up her talk show for Christmas.

Earlier this week 42-year-old Portia shared a snap of one of their pets, presumably taken inside their Santa Monica ranch. 

The couple celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary in June, with Portia treating her wife to a poker night at their home to mark the occasion.
