They are both known for their own straight-talking brand of witty humour. 

And comedian Julia Morris and Ruby Rose certainly delivered some laughs on Christmas day as they each poked fun at themselves for over-eating during the festive season. 

After indulging in a hearty family lunch, Ruby, 29, took to Instagram with a video of a pig rolling around in an inflatable pool of mud, captioned with: 'Live footage of me right now after lunch.'

US-based Ruby, who arrived in Australia to spend the holidays with her family, also took to Instagram earlier that day with a picture of herself and her mother wearing matching Christmas sweaters.

Meanwhile, funnywoman Julia Morris, 37, also took the opportunity to joke about gaining weight over Christmas.

Taking to Instagram, the radio announced shared a hilarious image of her head photoshopped on the body of Mr Creosote, a hugely obese fictional character that appears in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. 

'Christmas lunch... Jx' she wrote simply in the caption.
