They enjoyed a fantastically festive day out.

Yet Dave Gardner and Liv Tyler's Christmas Eve jaunt ended less than jovially when the football agent's car was involved in an unfortunate scrape.

The handsome star was left to hash out details of the incident with the fellow driver after enjoying a day out and meal with his movie star partner and their adorable ten-month-old son, Sailor.

Liv, who also shares son Milo, 11, with ex-husband Royston Langdon, looked stunning for the day out as she sported a chic shaggy white coat over a thigh-skimming tea dress which flaunted her sensational legs.

The Armageddon actress, hit up the shops to no doubt scoop up some final Christmas goodies before heading to up-market Cantonese restaurant China Tang At The Dorchester hotel.

Dave, who is best friends with David Beckham, looked suave in a grey overcoat, as he toted Sailor on the street before the duo headed for dinner.

The sports agent and David Beckham's best pal posted the black and white picture, showing the Hollywood actress holding their little boy, who was born in February.

Liv recently also shared a snapshot of herself on Instagram hugging her eldest son Milo on his birthday.

Along with the adorable throwback picture within a picture on the boy's 11th birthday, she cooed: 'Happy happy birthday my darling boy !!!! Milo 11 greatest love @maryamccartney.'

David also has an eight year old son Gray, from a previous relationship with Davinia Taylor.
