Self-styled psychics like Sally Morgan claim to be able to talk to the dead, and are not shy about making predictions about the near future. While there is no way we can confirm or debunk the messages they claim to receive from the great beyond, we don’t need a crystal ball to tell how accurate are their predictions of future events, only a search engine. So what did they say about last year in 2014? Let’s begin with Psychic Sally (or should that be Psychic Silly?) –
In 2014, she predicted the then pregnant Duchess of Cambridge would give birth to a son – a 50/50 chance – and she was wrong. She said too that the Royal couple would have a third child, a daughter, four years on.
American Psychic to the Stars Nikki is a lot more prolific than Sally Morgan, in fact she makes so many predictions that some of them must come true if only by chance. She did predict a terrorist attack in Paris, but with the current tensions in the Middle East and Islamist fanatics brainwashing the gullible in Europe, that was not much of a prediction, a terrorist attack in a major European capital. And it could have meant almost anything from the assassination of a single politician or moderate Moslem to a major atrocity as happened.

A castle in Ireland burns down. Well, there was a fire in Castle Street, Cork, but that’s pushing it a bit.
Divers off the coast of Florida find millions in treasures?
Tokyo in ruins after a giant Earthquake? Nope.
A shooting of a guard at Buckingham Palace? Perhaps she meant the changing of the guard!
Finally, Betsey Lewis, who is internationally renowned (in her own eyes) made a number of predictions including those that are both vague and er, predictable.
“Russia will continue with its march to occupy Ukraine and tensions will mount between U.S. and Russia. I’m sensing a conflagration between Russia and the US, that could involve China.”
Is there anybody who wasn’t and isn’t sensing something like that? The real question is what can our leaders do to diffuse the situation?
She says some sound things about Bitcoin, but that takes financial nous rather than psychic ability. Did the Pope stun the world as she predicted? Mount Etna is an active volcano, but there have been no eruptions of significance in recent years, and no earthquakes in Rome at all for the past year, not even tiny ones.
Do people really pay for this sort of flim-flam? Sadly, yes, but there is no need for you to.
