Christopher Maloney claimed their friendship 'ended nastily on her part' as he entered the CBB house.

And Danniella Westbrook has now opened up about the reason she fell out with her fellow Celebrity Big Brother 2016 star Christopher, who she suffered an awkward reunion with on Tuesday night's launch show.

The 42-year-old actress blames the former X Factor contestant for fuelling her 'breakdown' last year by passing on her phone number to her cage-fighter ex Tom Richards, who she had taken out a restraining order against.

Daniella previously confessed she was left wanting to kill herself with cocaine binges following her break-up with toyboy Tom, claiming she 'couldn't get [him] out of my life'.

She has now explained that her downward spiral was triggered by discovering her close pal Christopher, 46, who she used to enjoy exotic holidays with, was lying to her.

Danniella was heartbroken when it emerged the cruise ship singer was was contacting Tom behind her back and passing on her private text messages to him.

She explained in a new interview with The Sun: 'The whole time Chris and I were very good friends and Chris was sending him all the messages that I was sending to him and giving him my phone number.

'I had a breakdown. I thought Chris was supposed to be my friend. It made it very hard for me.'

She also revealed her ex Tom was set to be released on bail yesterday, once she was safely inside the CBB house.

Danniella insisted she was in a much better place and would be seeing a psychiatrist for her bipolar and borderline personality disorders while staying in the CBB house.

Her confession comes after Christopher alleged he had tried to patch things up with Danniella, but she had changed her number.

He said: 'She fell out with me, when she split up with her partner he was still attempting to be my friend. I think she thought that I took his friendship over hers but it wasn't like that.'

Former EastEnders star Danniella previously confessed she reached rock bottom following her ill-fated romance with Tom, and started using cocaine for the first time again in 12 years.

Speaking to The Sunday People, the former EastEnders actress admitted: 'I couldn't get Tom out of my life and thought the easiest way out was killing myself. That's why I used cocaine.'

The TV star spoke to the newspaper after they revealed her ex will not face charges by police, despite various allegations she made against him - claims he has since strenuously denied.

Tom was arrested in April 2015 for allegedly assaulting and harassing Danniella.

Detained in his home city of Swansea and after being held in a cell for 11 hours, the cage fighter was bailed as police continued their investigation, but no charges were eventually brought.

His arrest followed claims by Danniella on social media that her younger former lover had been violent towards her, posting a photograph on Twitter of her bruised hand. Once again, he denied the allegations.
