So no wonder supermodel Elle Macpherson took care to wrap up her slender frame against the elements in true style - rocking a classic furry stole on Wednesday.

The 51-year-old businesswoman showed off her off-duty runway style as she arrived in London after a long-haul flight from Miami.

She swapped her red carpet look for a casual get-up as she headed out of the airport.

Dressed head to toe in black she looked chic in a cosy wool zip-front jacket that covered her shapely thighs.

She showed off her toned pins in black skinny jeans on arrival, and styled up her look with a black and white speckled fur stole strewn casually over her shoulders.

She carried a chocolate brown snake print tote bag to add a touch of glam to her laid back ensemble as she touched down.

Elle let her natural beauty shine through with just a hint of make-up - a shimmery lipstick to complete her effortless look.

Her honey locks were left loose to fall over her shoulders for a windswept look as she arrived at London's Heathrow.

Elle has two children, Arpad Flynn Busson, 18, and Aurelius Cy Andrea Busson, 12, from her nine-year relationship with French financier Arpad Busson.

The doting mum spent time with her youngest in Aspen, supporting him while he took part in a skiing competition in December.

Elle was no doubt looking forward to a well-earned rest on her winter getaway after recently launching her own health company, WelleCo.

The star is passionate about living clean and claims the secret to her famous figure is down to her carefully structured diet and supplement plan.
