From Wiz Khalifa's suit and shades to Jennifer Lawrence's cut-out Dior gown, kids rock celebrity-inspired Golden Globes outfits on their own mini red carpet

  • Photographer Tricia Messeroux from New York created the adorable photoshoots, which see little kids dressed to look like stars on the Golden Globes red carpet
  • Designer Andrea Pitter recreated the outfits in miniature, while hairstylist Stacey Ciceron did the children's 'dos
  • Each of the children - who were cast because they already looked like the stars in question - were instructed on how to pose and hold their faces
  • The three-to-six-year-olds also copied Jennifer Lopez, Taraji P. Henson, Amy Schumer, Zendaya, Channing Tatum, and Jenna Dewan-Tatum

The biggest names in Hollywood aren't the only people who get to play a glamorous game of dress-up during award show season - their adorable kiddie doppelgangers do, too!

Since 2009, New York-based photographer Tricia Messeroux has been styling little kids like their celebrities lookalikes, outfitting them in copycat outfits and matching hair and make-up.

This award show season, she's at it again, turning a crew of mini models into the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Taraji P. Henson, and Zendaya, complete with perfectly-coiffed 'dos and nearly identical designer ensembles.

Immediately after watching the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday night, Tricia got to work, putting together the Golden Globe Awards set she's used in past years.

She then enlisted designer and bridal store owner Andrea Pitter, who began recreating some of the most fashionable pieces of the night in much smaller sizes.

She sewed together a mini version of Jennifer Lawrence's red Dior gown - complete with cut-outs at the waist - as well as Amy Schumer's black-and-white Atelier Prabal Gurung gown and Taraji P. Henson's white Stella McCartney number.

She also made a version of Jennifer Lopez's caped Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress, outfitting it with costume jewelry to look like J.Lo's glitzy Harry Winston jewels.

As for the models, Tricia told Daily Mail Online that she holds casting calls, which have yielded over a hundred auditions in the past.

But she won't just pick and choose the cutest kids. She said it's important that the three-to-six-year-olds whom she casts actually look like celebrities at these events.

'Factors that influence my selections: They really need to resemble the person. Though a child may look like a star, equally important is that they have their essence,' she said.

'I then takes pictures along with notes referencing the stars they look like allowing for a catalog of star resources for when these events arise.'

With her lookalikes and costumes in place, Tricia turned to hairstylist Stacey Ciceron to reimagine the stars' gorgeous coifs. Stacey copied Jennifer Lopez's flip, Jenna Dewan-Tatum's updo, and Wiz's dreadlocks.

She then shot the children in front of the Globes backdrop, directing them on how to pose just like the stars.

One little girl mastered Taraji's presence by holding out her train and offering a facial expression full of attitude.

Another nailed rapper Wiz Khalifa to a T - thanks in part to the fake tattoos covering his visible skin. He also flashed a peace sign and his teeth - which are a bit crooked and unevenly spaced, just like Wiz. (Though in the kid's case, it's likely due to the loss of baby teeth.)

A cute couple of kids dressed as Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum stopped worrying about cooties long enough to cozy up to one another on the red carpet, too.

'To them it’s like a giant play date... They get to be pampered for a day like a real celebrity,' Tricia said.

The clever photographer is all for her subjects having fun. In fact, she first launched the project as a way to spend more time with her daughter, Skylar, who she thinks looks like Diana Ross.
