Teresa Giudice makes her carpet debut after leaving prison... as she's joined by daughter Gia at Melissa Gorga's store opening

Teresa Giudice is out of prison and back on the red carpet.

On Thursday, the 43-year-old attended her first event since she was released from jail last month, while joined by her eldest daughter Gia.

Teresa supported sister-in-law and co-star Melissa Gorga at the opening of her boutique Envy in Montclair, New Jersey.

And the reality star told E! News that she is 'feeling great', adding: 'I'm happy to be here to support my brother and my sister-in-law Melissa.

'My background is fashion. I went to school for fashion. I used to work at Macy's Herald Square in the buying office and I also was on the vendor side.

'I worked for Nine West and Calvin Klein handbags. So, I have a fashion background.'

Gia, who turned 15 last week, added that she turns to her famous mother for fashion tips.

Teresa was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut on December 23, after serving almost a year behind bars for fraud charges.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star spent Christmas with husband Joe and their four daughters Gia, Gabriella, 11, Milania, nine, and Audriana, six.

While Teresa is already back filming her hit Bravo show and will soon be promoting new memoir Turning The Tables, Joe will begin serving his much longer 41-month sentence in March.

At the event on Thursday, the brunette wore a silvery snakeskin and black top with glitzy printed black skinny jeans.

Teresa also sported a pair of knee-high black leather boots and a matching furry jacket, while carrying a quilted handbag.

The reality star no doubt missed her luxury beauty regime in prison, so she pulled out all the stops for the bash and styled her raven locks in bouncy curls.

Teresa also wore lashings of make-up - with heavy black eyeliner and eyeshadow, false lashes and bronzer and a very generous slick of peach lip gloss.

Gia coordinated her look with her mother's in a furry white jacket and knee-high black boots, paired with a black mini-skirt and white crop top.

Meanwhile Teresa's sister-in-law Melissa, 36, showed off her slim figure for the occasion in a black halter-neck top, red pencil skirt and black heeled sandals.

She was supported by husband Joe, who is Teresa's brother.

Also in attendance were Teresa and Melissa's co-stars Jacqueline Laurita and Kathy Wakile, as well as former NFL star Tiki Barber and his wife Traci.

Teresa and Joe, 43, pleaded guilty in 2014 to 41 counts of fraud including bank, mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. The couple had filed for bankruptcy in 2009, claiming $11 million in debt.

They dropped their petitions in 2011, but that bankruptcy filing ultimately led to federal fraud charges against them.

The duo were accused of hiding assets and failing to disclose information about Teresa's Real Housewives salary, their businesses and rental properties.
