Olivia Munn swaps edgy thigh highs for an elegant two-piece ensemble on promo tour in New York

She always cuts a glamorous figure on the red carpet. 

And Olivia Munn proved she can look just as elegant while off-duty as she turned heads in a tartan, two-piece Tanya Taylor ensemble while in New York on Wednesday.

Breaking into a smile, the 35-year-old certainly seemed to be in good spirits as she visited Sirius Radio.

The X-Men: Apocalypse star wore a colorful plaid twill 'Cara' crop-top, which revealed her toned stomach.

She coupled the top with a coordinating, high-waisted 'Ava' plaid skirt, which showed off her toned pins.

Olivia finished off the high-fashion look with a pair of black pumps, and covered up with a thick, black jacket, thrown over her shoulders.

Earlier that day the actress showed off her fashion credentials in a pair of chic, thigh-high boots while out in Midtown Manhattan.

Opting for an all-black ensemble, The Newsroom alum flashed a hint of thigh in the over-the-knee boots, which she teamed with a figure flattering black dress. 

She layered up in a chic pea coat, which featured two rows of gold buttons that gave the outfit some glitz.

Accessorising with a selection of gold rings, she clutched on to a small square handbag, and keeping with the colour scheme she sported a glossy black manicure.

She added a splash of colour to her chic outfit with a slick of red lipstick, while a sweep of rouge accentuated her defined cheekbones.

While visiting the SiriusXM Studios in the striking ensemble, the star ran into Jenny McCarthy, who similarly sported a monochromatic look.

The two posed for a photograph at the studio, showing off big grins as they cuddled in together for the shot. 

The Ride Along 2 star looked like she was feeling positive after she was forced to shut down engagement rumours. 

Olivia - who has been dating American football quarterback Aaron Rodgers for 17 months - wasn't fazed when she saw a magazine report that the pair were engaged, until she realised her mother had seen the news.

Actress Olivia Munn was spotted in Midtown, New York, earlier today out on a winter stroll (clarification: a frigid stroll in 20-degree weather). The gorgeous brunette had dressed up in a flirty all-black outfit with a peacock jacket from Balenciaga, showing off some skin with a mini skirt and over-the-knee high-heeled boots. Wowsers, Olivia!

Sharing a text conversation between herself and mother on Instagram, she revealed her parent had believed the story and was offended she hadn't been told in person.

Setting the record straight with her family, the star then joked that her mom would be the 'eighth or ninth' person to find out if she were to slip a ring on her finger.

Olivia captioned the snap: 'Answering yes or no to personal questions can be tricky because if you say "No" it means whenever you say "No comment" that kind of becomes your default "Yes".
