'Girl can dream!' Ronda Rousey reveals she wants to become Jennifer Lawrence's BFF... as she signs up for comedy with Tina Fey

She's recently filmed a beer commercial with Amy Schumer. 

And now Ronda Rousey, 28, has her sights set on also joining Jennifer Lawrence's girl squad. 

The UFC star was all smiles as she flew out of LAX on Friday, ahead of hosting SNL in New York.

She explained to TMZ that she is looking for an 'excuse to hang with Jennifer Lawrence.'

Dressed in a grey hooded top and tracksuit bottoms, the sportswoman told them she's hoping to build on her acquaintance with J-Law's pal Amy. 

'I know Amy Schumer but we're not having sleepovers or anything but I'm working on it', she revealed, adding: 'A girl can dream.'

Ronda looked like she has been embracing life away from the ring, and while far from being in fighting shape she looked feminine make-up free and smiling with her honey locks worn loose.

She's set to stay out of the Octagon for a time, launching a new career a an actress.

As well as making her debut on Saturday Night Live herself, the Olympic medalist told TMZ that she's 'so excited' to be teaming up with the former SNL stalwart on the big screen. 

Universal Pictures have signed the pair to star in Do Nothing B**ches - written by Paula Pell who also wrote Sisters - based on Ronda's infamous expression about female self-worth. 

The MMA star plays a no-nonsense fitness instructor, according to Deadline, dealing with wealthy pampered wives who get a rude awakening at a retreat.

She also posted that she's looking forward to her NBC appearance, posting a picture captioned: 'Beyond excited/nervous/honored to host @nbcsnl #jan23rd hopefully you'll be watching and laughing either at or with me that night.'

A rematch against Holly Holm has been delayed, after filming for Roadhouse was pushed back. 

Ronda is taking on the bouncer role which made Patrick Swayze famous, in the reboot of the 1980s classic. 

Holm will now defend her bantamweight title against Miesha Tate on March 5.
