This anthology of 15 short horror stories is written by a variety of authors in a variety of styles, but all are about zombies and the Zombie Apocalypse. Normally zombies aren't my thing, but this anthology made it fun to be scared and read about zombies - time frames were anywhere from the Roman Empire's invasion of Germania through the near future, and styles ranged from an interesting, Voodoo-themed first-person narrative to a 3rd person narrative (which is tricky), and included everything from the typical, shambling zombies through zombies that were almost the same as a living person. One story is even told from the point of view of a dog, which I found particularly fascinating.
Each of the writers is obviously a master of their trade; the stories are all flawless, beautifully descriptive and wonderful to read - perfect little zombie-horror gems. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for something wonderful and spooky to read for Halloween, or any time of the year.

I read a lot of zombie anthologies. I love The Walking Dead graphic series. I collect short story books filled with nothing but zombie tales. I can honestly say that this particular anthology has the BEST collection of zombie tales I've ever seen. I liked every single story in this digest. I love reading zombie literature, both dark and serious, and light and comedic. This collection is on the darker side, just to forewarn you. It's dark, disturbing and deliciously sinister. This is an array of talented horror authors (most of whom are new to me), but I expect to be seeing a lot more from ALL of these wonderful writers very soon. They obviously know their craft well. Bravo, Dark Moon Digest, on delivering an excellent new zombie collection. For any zombie literature lovers out there, this is a MUST read, and a collector's item!

Dark Moon Presents: Zombies is an anthology with a lot of heart and some of them get eaten! Consisting of 15 tales, this group of stories range from your typical zombie survival story to some very interesting and unique points of view. It's not often you read a zombie story from a dog's point of view, is it?
Dark Moon Presents: Zombies was not a homerun anthology for this reviewer. Now that is not to say that others would not find the stories to be fantastic, we are all different, right? In fact, it has great praise from several reviewers. The varying writing styles of each author is evident and the attention to details were amazing for each short story. None of the stories were overtly gory, but all were detailed enough in their description of the events occurring. It is purely a matter of reader tastes.

I received this in the mail not to long ago and blazed through the stories. Although i may have been better served to save each one for a literary snack in between other books, each story here has such a good feel and unique flavor you won't be wrong reading it this way. I am very pleased at how good these stories actually are. Some appealed more to me than others but this is really one of the best collections I have read. Top marks to the writers and Swanson for putting together this collection of talents. Highly recommend for fans of the genre

Just when you think there's nothing left to be said about zombies, along comes another great anthology to prove you wrong. The editor of Dark Moon Books, Stan Swanson, has put together a satisfying collection that should appeal to every zombie votary where ever they may lurk. Some of my favorites were: "Papa Doc's Zombie and the Ugly Black Mambo" by G.K. Hayes, "Bouvier Des Mort" by Shannon Farrell, "All the Rage" by C.W. LaSart, "Step Right Up" by Rebecca Snow, just to name a few.
