Céline Dion's husband René Angélil planned funeral before his passing to ease burden on singer
Céline Dion's husband René Angélil planned out his funeral so that the burden wouldn't lie with the singer once he had passed.
The 47-year-old singer's longtime spouse and manager died aged 73 last week after a long battle with throat cancer and made sure everything was in order in the days preceding his death.
René reportedly wanted everything prepared, even though he didn't know when it would happen.

Final gesture: Céline Dion's husband René Angélil planned out his funeral so that the burden wouldn't lie with the singer once he had passed
Céline's stylist and longtime friend Annie Horth told PEOPLE 'René was generous enough to prepare all of this since the last few months with Céline,'
Because of this, Céline is 'going through [this] peacefully and with control,' added Horth.
The funeral will be taking place this Friday and as previously reported this week, the Canadian beauty will not sing at the memorial.
According to sources, René wanted to have his funeral at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where the couple married more than two decades ago.
Great love: The couple were married for 21 years and a source close to Celine said Rene's planning means the star is 'going through [this] peacefully and with control,'
A message posted to Facebook on Friday read: 'According to his final wishes, his Funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where 21 years ago, he chose to marry the one who will remain as the great love of his life, the artist for which he had the most respect, the woman who gave him light and happiness until his very last breath,'
An insider told People: 'The whole funeral, that was all René's wishes, he obviously wanted to have his funeral where he married the love of his life.'
The couple are superstars in their native Canada and the funeral will be televised on three networks and flags will fly at half-staff, according to TMZ.
A Chapel of Rest will be open to the public to pay a last tribute to René on Thursday, followed by the religious service on Friday.
Mourning: The star has denied she will be singing at her husband's funeral
Céline also announced on Facebook that she will host a celebration of his life at the Las Vegas Colosseum in Caesars Palace on February 3.
René passed away on January 14 at his home in Las Vegas after a long battle with throat cancer, on the eve of his 74th birthday.
The Power of Love singer also tragically lost her brother Daniel Dion this week. He was just 59.
Daniel had battled brain, tongue and throat cancer.
The My Heart Will Go On singer will resume her Las Vegas performances on February 23.
